
Tour Overview
A well-paced three-day desert crossing connecting Marrakech and Fes. Depart through the High Atlas to Aït Benhaddou, then head to the Dades Valley for the first night. Day two crosses the Todra Gorge and Erfoud to the Erg Chebbi dunes, where camels take you to a luxury desert camp for dinner under the stars. On day three, drive north through the Ziz Valley, Midelt, the cedar forest at Azrou (Barbary macaques), and the Alpine town of Ifrane before dropping you in Fes.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
1Day 1Marrakech → Aït Benhaddou → Boumaln Dades
Marrakech → Aït Benhaddou → Boumaln Dades
Depart Marrakech at 8:00 AM over the Tizi-Ntichka pass. Visit the UNESCO kasbah of Aït Benhaddou, then continue through Ouarzazate and the Valley of Roses to the Dades Gorges. Dinner and overnight in a local hotel/riad.
2Day 2Dades → Todra Gorge → Erfoud → Erg Chebbi Desert Camp

After breakfast, drive through Tinghir and walk in the Todra Gorge. Continue to Erfoud and on to Merzouga where camels await to carry you over the dunes to the desert camp. Enjoy the sunset, a traditional dinner, and Berber music under the stars.

Early morning camel ride back at sunrise. Drive north via the Ziz Valley panorama, Midelt (capital of apples), the cedar forest of Azrou, and the charming Alpine town of Ifrane. Arrive in Fes in the evening.
